ScreenRecorder is an application that let's you take a video capture of your screen. This is extremely useful fo tutorials or demonstrations, or to show proof of that new hack you've accomplished. There are many other uses for this, like a "Video Notes" app.
Here are some screenshots and a video (sorry the screenshots aren't in order, I'm sure you can figure it out though

This application originally had a capture limit of 45 seconds, but version 1.5 changes this capture time to... infinity!

This is a great app for youtubers who want to show the world something.

It can be found on the Cydia Store for $1.99 (BigBoss Repository). If you wish to try the app, please don't pirate it, use the free demo version in Cydia (which has some limitations).

    Changelog and information:

Version 1.2: initial release, now works with ffmpeg from Cydia.

Version 1.3: has "saving" screen. (Prevents many errors related to users tapping buttons while video is being saved).

Version 1.4: adds email and audio recording capabilities.

    Version 1.5:
-Capture time now extended to infinity.
-Videos now viewed in portrait mode.
    -New user interface

    Version 1.5.1:
    -Fixed problem with email.

    To do:

    -Make videos longer Version 1.5
-Add audio recording (from microphone) Version 1.4
-Status bar icon when recording, preferably red dot.
    -Upload to youtube
-View video in portrait mode Version 1.5
    -Better UI Version 1.5
-SBSettings Toggle (more likely Activator plugin)
    -Email Version 1.4
    -Framerate upgrade (unlikely)
    -Video naming

If you are getting the green screen issue on a Mac, please download the Perian preference pane.

This app is amazing, I just gave it a go, it works really well. It did f*** my iPod up, but that was my fault, I tried to install it with only 1mb of System Storage left =[. Isn't your fault, its mine for not noticing.

Anyway, this is great. There should be a recording icon displayed in the status bar when its on =]

Good job so far! It works well for being the first app to be able to record! I have a question though; why does it take up so much memory? Do you have it save the pictures to the RAM? If so, why not have the app save the photos in the movie to the HD, and then when done recording it could compile them into a movie? Is that possible?

What it does as far as I can tell is uses screenshots and makes them into a video. Thats why the video isnt smooth.

Hey no problem, I ended up getting my iPod working again. Anyway I am working on remaking the interface and icon. I'll send you a link over when I have it finished so you can tell me what you think.

Edit: Here is what I quickly came up for a layout for the homescreen. Tell me what you think.

I have to say that those buttons aren't very good. The rest of the layout is great, but the buttons ruin it.

I don't have your source code, but you shouldn't be storing the entire movie in memory as it is being recorded. You should keep only a small amount in memory, while writing to a file on the fly, not all at once in the end.

I know, I didnt have much time to work with the button, had to tend to my daughter, she decided it would be a good idea to rip her diaper off and pee on the floor.

Yeah, it should be like that. Right now if you don't get back into screenrecorder before it crashes you lose the recording.
