[RELEASE] mPlayer ported to Firmware 2.x

    mplayer port for firmware 2.x ,

    tested only for firmware 2.0.2
    put your media files to /private/var/media and go

    It works, but seemed a bit choppy when I played a 640x272 video.

    I'll try bringing the size down and see how it plays then

    yeh, I made it just for fun, and it's not fully optimized using arm11 assembly .
    so performance is an issue. maybe I will try to improve it in the future.

    What makes this player better than the iphone's built in one?? does it support other formats like mkv, avi and so (that would be awesome)?

    it supports almost everything just like PC version.

    Can you get it to view other folders like /private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads?

    you can try to make a symbolic link to the folder you want under home (/private/var/media) directory.

    in /private/var/media, rum command like this: ln -s your_folder_path new_folder_name

    e.g. ln -s /private/var/mobile/Library/Downloads Downloads
