Here are all the necessary files you have to put on your iPod touch 1G to boot up iDroid:

    !!! ATTENTION !!!

IF THE TOUCHSCREEN DOESN'T WORK, PLEASE USE OPENIBOOT COMMIT b54f1ad! Download link available bellow.

Copy ALL files to private/var and then SET the permissions to 0777

If you don't do that, iDroid will never boot.

Update: If you want Backlight control, Android Market, YouTube, Messenger etc please download this file (system.img). Pay attention IS EXTREMELY BUGGY!!!: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/22548016/system.img.tar.gz

    OpeniBoot download commit b54f1ad: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/22544080/openiboot.img3

Now, I try to figure out how to implement the full Sense UI. I tried to put it on but with no luck. He crash after 2 seconds. I used the Sense UI extracted from "myHero" ROM.

    Quick FAQ:

    Q: What should I do when I'm stuck at ”Multi-touch calibration” ?
A: Verify if zImage file is not corrupted. Verify if system.img and android.img.gz has been correctly unmounted.

Q: What should I do when the screen fades to white?
A: Try to recompile zImage and system.img. If doesn't work, try another version of openiBoot

Q: I cannot start Android. I'm getting stuck at ”Welcome to openiBoot”
A: Your android files are corrupted. Copy them again.

    Have fun!

Do we extract the Android.img.gz file inside the extracted file? (I've extracted the file I downloaded, don't know if I should extract again).

. You leave that file as it is (android.img.gz).

You don't need to extract anything again. Just put those files in your iPod and set permissions to 0777
