New release @ ITF Community. This is my third release this week and I'm very happy to announce that iDroid has just reached version 2.0 (according to Android 2.0 firmware). This version includes the followings:

    1. GPU Emu Driver which is very important for Sense UI Widgets and games.

    2. Based on Android 2.0 Firmware. Not a huge step, next releases will be 2.0.1.. or maybe 2.2? :)

    3. 3 Launchers - So, you have: aHome, Launcher2 and GDE which works like a charm! Grazzie GPU again!

    4. Optimized CPU - What does this mean? Android will not use the CPU at 99%. I removed some unnecessary daemons, applications and I included a tweaked cpustat.c file that puts CPU on Stand-By (BETA! Not guarantee that works for all of us)

    5. Updated WiFi driver - Again, BETA! Not guarantee that works for all.

...and many MANY other things that you have to discover :).

Note 1: When you boot the device for the first time in iDroid, you will be "welcomed" by a error: "Process system is not responding" -> Tap on "WAIT" and You're ready to go :).
Note 2: Some pre-installed Gapps will give you some errors especially "Maps". That's a compatibility issue that I tried to fix.

Tutorial for SDCard. Download AndroidSDK before you start!(required for Weather)

    1. Download the SDCard image from here -> http://idroid.nickpack.com/sdcard-images/512mb/sdcard.img.bz2

    2. Unpack it and now you should have a file called "sdcard.img" 512 MB in size

    3. SSH it on /private/var and set permissions to 777

    4. Boot intro Android. Connect your device to PC and start a terminal windows in linux. CD to the "tools" director inside of AndroidSDK. Then type the folowings:

wait for # to appear, then type:

    5. Now tap the "Sun" from the flipclock. It will ask you to download some files. Make sure you have an active WiFi connection. Then tap YES and wait 10 minutes. It will take a while but it works :). Enjoy!

This release would not have been possible without:
planetbeing - the admin of this project
    alex (idroidforums.org) - kernel
    Google - for the OS
    HTC - the graphics :).

Feel free to experiment this awesome release!

Is working on iPhone 3G :). You just need to change the included zImage with one of iPhone 3G's. Now I'm gonna take a sleep. Is almost night here in Romania =D

To make Gapps to work, we need a remap in kernel to overwrite baseband because market is searching for that ;). We need to redirect it to wifi
