VB6 isn't the part that handles the C++ code... it just puts a command into cmd.exe and CMD.exe is the one that executes it.. nothing to do with VB6 on that part..

    P.S.
I've also got CCNA (was looking at your signature)

http://www.winrar.com/ Works almost the same as winzip or software like that.. once winrar is installed, right mousclick on the RAR file you downloaded from my server and then click "Extract to ... blabla" Thats all..

    Winrar is free software

Nice, but I have to disagree. Your VB6 App is compiled C++, while you may be calling Shell or ShellExecute (I don't remember which, I don't use this language anymore) that is simply calling another app from the shell in the background and giving it whatever arguments you supplied. The executable you coded is still compiled C++, but Windows is being forced to run it against a runtime that it no longer supports, hence fail.

Basically, you should really look into updating to a newer language, just a suggestion.

Open device manager and go into USB-controllers..

There you see "Unrecognized USB device" or something like that put it in DFU mode (Your windows sees the unrecognized USB device, so it is turned on already... now turn it in DFU mode..
