What is the purpose of this?

It gives you the ability to remotely track a lost phone, stolen phone, or phone of a family member.

    What does this do?

This application runs on your phone, and contacts our website every configurable number of minutes. If you report the phone as "Stolen", the application starts sending its location to our servers, so you can track it (with Google Maps). We also offer interval-based tracking for family members. When tracked, it is impossible to change application settings. This software also helps for lost phones.

How is this different from the alternative products?

    Runs in the background
Does NOT ask "Would you like to allow FindMyI to View your location" after setup
Configurable in all web browsers, and in the application itself
    Stealthly
Receives minor updates without cydia/app store
NOT battery intensive. It checks if it's stolen on an interval, and doesn't report its location unless it is being tracked
Does NOT require a thief to run an application (like private-i)
Runs when phone it locked, or in "sleep" mode
    Accurate on iPhones and iTouches
Reports its accuracy, so you KNOW if you're going to the correct place

Get on Cydia NOW!!!! more info at www.findmyi.org

BUT with iPod touches it uses wifi so unless you are lucky and your iPod touch finds a hotspot then it can send its location. To add insult to injury though, maps.app does not even give you the exact location

I would rather use Quasi Low Jack.

well, no but in your first post you said this "BUT with iPod touches it uses wifi so unless you are lucky and your iPod touch finds a hotspot then it can send its location." now, if i am correct, it sounds as if you wanted the touch to magically connect to the internet with not connection, and it sounds as if you saying it's Findmyi's fault.

How can it sound like that, when I suggested Quasi Low Jack that does THE SAME THING?

In the end, I am right.
