    k well i want a macbook pro,

so after looking around the apple website I came across a refurbished mac book pro for $999, well someone bought it and it was the only one there for $999

what my question is, how long will it take for another macbook pro refurbed to appear on the site again for $999. will it take like another week or a couple months?

also i would like to know why i should get a macbook pro instead of a regular macbook?

The stock changes everyday on the refurb store... Shouldn't take more then a week, but when you see it, you have to buy it right then because they sell like crazy... I know someone who was going to buy a refurb mac mini and it was sold out before they could even add it to their cart.

ok i was just browsing youtube and i heard that apple is probably going to upgrade their macbook pros :S

So if i was to get one should i wait untill after that event that goes on in january? or should i just get one now? i heard they are going to upgrade the processors... is it really worth the upgrade from a 2.26ghz dual core to a quad core thats like 1.8ghz

I wish buying laptops were easier but there are so many choices!!

It really depends, because refurbs are based on customer returns/defective products, and are made like new again.

You can NOT wait for updates with Apple, because you never know when they are going to upgrade. Just take the plunge.

This. Apple is random on updates, but the time(s) [posted] are approximate and can change at any time

Apple almost always does an upgrade in the Spring.

blake is generally right, except you can count on new ipods in early september every year. i feel that they will update the MBPs soon since they have been the same since june of '09. but, waiting for the latest thing, especially with laptops, is a losing battle. if you're mature enough and willing to be cool with it if a new one comes out in a few weeks, buy it now.
