I don't know if it's just me, or does the restore for 2.0 (upon both upgrading to and restoring iPod to 2.0) a lot slower than any of the 1.1's?

Firmware must be pretty large if it takes so long to restore.

It is really slow. Apple really should work some of the kinks out of the firmware.

Mine definitely do not take that long. It takes about 15-20 minutes for me.

EDIT: I just did another restore to fix the issue with Mail.app, and it only took me about half the time as I had previously posted. WTF?

    Painfully slow...nearly 24 hours

I started my upgrade yesterday at 6:00 PDT and I'm still trying to get it to fully restore. I've stopped it, reset everything, etc and still no love. Started this latest restore attempt four hours ago and it's only about 28% through it. Not a big restore either, 850 songs and three vids....Anyone got any ideas?

It's just "slow" because 2.0 is a large file compared to the 1.1.x firmwares.

    Search before you post.

Anyways, the 2.0 firmware is almost as twice as big as the 1.1.x's. That's why it takes a lot longer. Plus, they rewrote the entire firmware because of the status bar trick, and screenshots, etc. So, it takes longer.
