Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I accidentally updated my ipod touch 3g to firmware 4.2.1. I am trying to jailbreak again using RedSn0w. When i get past the part on Redsn0w where you put your ipod touch into DFU mode it gets stuck on exploiting with limera1n. Ive searched around and many people are having the same problem. Ive tryed running Redsn0w as administrator and it still has not fixed the problem. What can i do to fix this?
    Help would really be appreciated
    Cheers.

Can you say, brick? Cause that's what your device is now, LOL

Are you on the latest redsn0w?
  4. Try this instead

Open up task manager while redsniw is running

Push see all services look up redsnow.exe

Rightmouse click and click on affinity

    Uncheck cpu1

Done no more crashes with redsnow

    True fix

Hey guys, here's a fix which worked for me great. Just put your device in the DFU mode, check does iTunes recognize it, if it does, re-run redsn0w (you don't have to enter dfu mode in the redsn0w). That's it guys! I hope it worked :)

You cannot brick it, unless you throw it at a brick wall. So shh.
DFU Restore is a sure fix

I am getting stuck on "exploiting with limera1n" on my ipod 3g... I have tried everything stated in this thread. Does anyone have any other ideas or has anyone figured this out?

Going to try that reboot w/o usb things.
Any other POSSIBLE remedies for getting stuck at "exploiting with limera1n"?
