    ok so i am thinking about taking the chance a jailbreaking... but what is the worst that can happen and can a restore fix it?

    Worst thing that can happen? Messing up and not being able to restore. I would wait for more experienced people to do it first.

    Since it is only a firmware mod, in the worst case scenario you would only have to restore in iTunes and re-install everything. But restoring is part of the jailbreak, so it wouldn't matter much.

    I'd say the worst thing is being on a 6hr car ride and having to turn off you ipot because of an app crash halfway through.

    Whenever my apps freeze I just press the lock button a couple times, then wait awhile, and it'll let me unlock it.

    Yep.
    You can restore.
    If it goes bad DFU it and restoreee.
