As the title says my touch is stuck at a black screen right after it enters DFU mode. I watched a few youtube videos where after entering DFU mode it immediately pops up saying something like Downloading Jailbreak Data with the HDD with arrow picture.

However this never happens to me and it just ends up sitting there with nothing on the screen. I followed the guides and everytime I get this (not the file as I have downloaded a few different 3.0 files as well).

    Thank you,
    chaseincats

    P.S. It is a 1st gen itouch

EDIT: it would seem perhaps that it is getting stuck on the reboot but that is just my guess

hold home and hold until it shuts off or a boot logo i had the same problem at one point and that seemed to work.

unplug the USB cable and re-plug it and redsnow will continue. I have had the same thing happen to me and this seems to fix it.

run redsnow and follow the instructions to get to DFU mode. It should say waiting for reboot, at this point unplug your ipod and plug it back in again. Now it should continue with the jailbreak. This is what I did to get it to work.
