    Help! Redsn0w crashes

The dev team is really starting to get on my nerves -__-

My virus protector thinks redsn0w is a virus and now redsn0w doesn't even work.

    I am using version .8

I will start up Redsn0w, then locate my firmware.

After I locate my firmware, I click next, and the program just sits there with a windows that says
    "Connecting to Server"
And it has a tiny bit of progress but just sits there and does nothing.

I have noticed other threads about this problem but none seem to have a direct answer.

    Please help me, thank you.

Look through your firewall's settings, see if its being blocked from connecting that way. Then try disabling your firewall and try it again

Well, I can't do that, just to run the program I am turning off my firewall.

Now it just crashes every time I click next AGH.

Is there any alternative for jailbreaking?

And will an earlier version work?

I get a popup and it says the program had to be terminated.
So I think we both have the same issue.

Both AVG and Avira gave both my Windows and Linux copies of redsn0w the all clear.

    Redownload, maybe it's corrupted/trojan.
