It's funny i was thinking the other day what if apple made good headphones? Like on-ear ones. They could make them sexy like all there products and then make them really high quality. They could even include some cool features like that of the Parrot Zik's (Swipe headphone to skip track, Automatic pause when the headphones are removed.) They could over price them to hell and people would buy them. I'd buy them.

Unless they redesign the price as well, they probably still won't be worth it.

Apple should partner with somebody and make some over-the-ear headphones, I bet they'd be super slick.

Jeez they're ugly! Also, I've never seen a design like this and I wonder how they sound compared to traditional headphones.

Actually rumor had it that Apple was using Sennheiser drivers for the second-gen iBuds... I wouldn't doubt it either, the iBuds were good... For earbuds anyways XD Earbuds in general aren't that great :(

The design is very interesting. The small opening on the side is what will point into your ear canal. It's ovular in shape, which means it might sit inside the shallow area of your ear canal. There are two ports on it (IDK if they're aesthetic or functional). One on the front is covered by a visible grill in the video, and one on the back (smaller one).

The driver will not be facing your ear canal though (the ovular opening). Instead it looks like the driver will most likely be situated at an angle facing the ear vs the canal itself. The driver will more likely than not be on an angle that puts it in a good ear between the grilled port and the sound tube.

If the drive is not angled, then it will face flush with your ear (not pointing at the canal). This driver design is actually very close to the design of both the Sony EX series IEMs as well as the Spider RealVoice driver placement (not facing the sound tube).

Isn't it interesting how much you can figure out about an earbud when leaks are released  No idea on sound though. I hope that grill is actually a second opening for the driver... This can actually increase bass response :)
