Sorry to have to post a new thread to the millions already here, but im having a problem with the screen. Its completely red. you can see all the home screen icons and everything works and is visible but its in a red screen mode. I plugged it into itunes and tried to restore it and nothing still the same issue. Would apple replace it? I do have the extended 2 year warranty but im scared if they send it back they might say " oh well it looks like you jailbroke it and it caused problems that voids warranty". is there anyway to completly wipe the ipod to leave no trace of jailbreak? thanks

I dont think after you restore it there is no sign of jailbraking left.

Stick it into DFU mode instead, then fully restore it. Tell me what the results are.

And no, there is absolutely NO sign of it being jailbroken if you fully restore it.

It might also be a physical problem, for example, punching an old moniter and having it turn blue.

I would restore and get it replaced.
Is it red at the boot logo?
