Hey. Recently my entire laptop just went and had a lovely HDD failure loosing me 43Gb of music and podcasts. This left me with one iPod touch 1G which has the last ever copies of the files. I repeat, there are NO backups of the iPod, and I cannot retrive the data. About an hour ago I stuck my iPod on charge and later on noticed it had rebooted. Not too sure why, didn't think anything of it. Then I noticed it had been rebooting in a circle for about 20 minutes, in this cycle. Logo, 15 seconds. Restart. Logo, 15 seconds. Restart. etc, etc. Now it won't even do that, it'll just boot up with the logo and switch off. I can get it into recovery mode/dfu by holding down the home button and inserting the USB, however when I do that, iTunes shows me this: Please Register or Log in to view images I can only restore, I don't have a clue what the assigned gateway IP is and I'm pretty sure SSH is out of the question, I've tried every recovery app in the known existence of this universe and spent too much time sitting on message boards hitting dead ends. Please, please help me. I'm stuck and have run out of ideas. //DETAILS// iPod Touch 1G 32GB running 3.0 Using Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
