Because it's not like you could make one thread with both apps and themes. Definitely not.

Anyway, there are tons of "Best Theme" threads, look in those.

I use Abeo myself, and I think it's perfect:

What to do after a jailbreak?

I just jailbroke my itouch G1, and now I don't understand what to do. I click on install for and app it doesn't install. Plus I cant find Rip Dev in my settings, nor do I even know what it is.

Also if someone could clarify the terms springboard and repository. I'm very itouch illiterate. So if someone could please explain in layman terms that would be great.

In future, you should create your own thread for your questions, rather than hijack an existing thread.

To answer your questions, don't use Installer. If you're tapping on the blue icon with the downward-pointing arrow, don't do that anymore. Use Cydia instead (the brown icon with the open box).

SpringBoard is the technical term for the home screen of your iPod touch. This is the screen that contains all of the icons for your applications.

A repository is a place to store applications, themes, games, and other downloads for the iPod touch. Cydia and Installer look through these repositories, see what's available to download, and then list them for you so you can choose what you want to have on your iPod.
