You have a tethered jailbreak, meaning, every time you turn it off/reboot/the ipod dies, you need to run blackra1n and press 'make it ra1n' again to turn it back on. You won't lose any data.

hmmm, but every time i turn it off,
i have to do the same thing again?
is there a way to keep it so that it'd be OK to turn the power off?

The only way to allow you to power it on and off normally is to unjailbreak. But if you want to keep the jailbreak, just put it in sleep mode (lock it and leave it

    ).

Yea, but not many apps tell you to reboot anyways. And I believe someone said that if Cydia tells you to reboot, just respring using SBSettings, it has the same effect as rebooting.
    ------------------double post merged------------------
Respring means to restart your springboard (the main screen). It, in a way, refreshes your iPod without having to actually reboot. You would have to go into SBSettings (swipe the status bar), and then press respring.
