    Hey

I have an Ipod-Touch 1G. Around 5 seconds after i lock it, it goes into some kind of reboot loop. The screen will turn black, then after a few seconds it will show the white Apple Logo. It shows the logo for about 5 seconds, then it black out again, reapting the loop, until it runs out of battery. The only way to get it out of the loop is by charging it. It has done this ever since i first jailbreaked FW 1.1.5. I've restored it several times and no matter what version of firmware i use, it still goes into the loop, when i lock it. I've used firmware 1.1.5, 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, and it have always done this

In order to restore you need to enter DFU mode, like this:
Hold down the home and power button for 10 seconds.
Let go of the power button while holding the home button.
In about 20-30 seconds iTunes will recognize it and you can restore.

    DFU should fix it.

it sounds like the power button is jammed I've had this problem before but it was only affected for a small amount of time

The only solution I can think of is bring it to apple to have it replaced
