My music controls on my ipod don't work anymore..only when I double click the home button, they show up, but don't work, only the volume...and the only way i can play, pause, etc is going to music ...i restored, same issue, updated to 1.1.2, they worked, but i want 1.1.1 ...what should i do, having a clean working ipod, or a jailbreaked with no music controls.?

You have to tap the buttons a few times to get it to work sometimes

This is a Bug in the 1.1.1 Firmware that is a result in the jailbreak, I don't quite understand why you want to keep the 1.1.1? but, I have had many occasions that I kneeded to hold onto an older software version and nobody understood so I'm not sure, but under 1.1.2 this won't happen. I had the same problem and I thought I was screwed. 1.1.2 has a lot of bug fixes, and seems to me at least to be more compatible with the jailbreak.

There is no gain whatsoever in keeping 1.1.1.

1.1.2 is just as hackable as its predecessor yet more responsive and has better audio quality.
