I accidentally upgraded firmware to 1.1.5 awhile ago and found many apps didn't allow download onto 1.1.5 so i decided to try downgrading, somwhere along the way by ipod seems to have gone compleltly unresponsive.
I tried manually setting it in DFU mode, but then realized that i had Ziphone lying around and it could do it automatically.

My ipod was in recovery mode and I think it was put into DFU mode at the same time.
Now all the buttons are unresponsive,
The screen stays lit in a kind of indigo color
And when I connect the Ipod to my computer is says that my USB device has malfuntioned and cannot be recognized.

    What now?
    I really don't need a 250$ paperweight.
I bought it off a friend of a friend so it has no warrenty.
    Plz help.

All you had to do was use FWchanger to make it believe it was on 1.1.4.

Try and use Ziphone to kick into normal mode if all else fails

recovery and DFU mode are the same.

press both buttons for 20 secs. then put it back to DFU-mode and flash 2.1.

I thought they couldnt get bricked. Maybe that's just that they can't get bricked with jailbreaking...

    Plug in
    Turn off
Hold both buttons for 10 seconds
Release power and keep holding home until it pops up in iTunes
    Restore to 2.1
