Coding in objC is not simple, at all. You ahve to be dedicated to learn it and read up on it a lot before trying to code it. Its not simple, but its not terribly difficult. So google some good sites that have tutorials, or you might be able to find a free book about it. But before you try to learn it you have to be committed to it, its not something you can learn overnight.

Should i just go straight to ObjC? Or should i learn something before that, then go to it?

Ive heard that going straight to it is pretty hard...

To Sydney: Ahh... you made me sad...

okay, this is what i did. Get a freewebs page or something. Then start with html. Its very simple, and the go visual basic, i lil more advanced, then try objective c. But you have to be VERY didicated.

    Ummm.... no.

HTML and Visual Basic have just about nothing to do with learning C & Objective-C.

Start with C, then if you can get a good hang on it, then try to go into Objective-C.

    And Gojohnnyboi - don't start a fight

what he said worked fine for me.
Visual Basic to Obj-C. It's not really that they're different, just learning a type of coding makes it simpler. I don't understand why. I tried to learn Obj-C from nothing, then I learned Visual Basic. [this was a while ago, before iPhones], and it seems a lot easier. ;p

Hmm... while waiting for people to reply, i was looking at videos, and trying out HTML out real fast, and it seems really easy to learn. I may try that for a bit, just as a hobby right now.

Once i get more serious at learning this kind of stuff (Maybe during the summer when i have time) im going to start with C, C++, or ObjC. Kinda want to do good in school to actually be able to do that kind of stuff during the summer.

    Good idea? Eh?

Also, i can use the HTML editor on the ipod to practice on the go!

I'm trying to learn ObjC too, what I'm doing right now (before trying to code ANYTHING), is reading some documents from Apple. I actually got there with Google.

I also have an idea of what coding is like, took a course that was an introduction to programming, not really advanced... at all, but it's different than learning from just reading, besides, since it was really basic, you get the basics straight.
