This tutorial will NOT erase all of your stuff. It flashes the NOR without flashing the Main Filesystem, therefore not deleting your music, apps, settings, etc.

You must be already jailbroken for this to work, using the "tethered approach" not the semi tethered. THIS IS AN UPGRADE

    NEW, NOW DEFINITELY WORKING

Email me for the ipsw and other needed files ipsw@hacker.otherinbox.com

    For custom logos:
download this, modified version of xpwn:
    http://www.[PIRACY.mf].com/download.php?zoxxtmmugyn

1)download official 2.2.1 ipsw, place in xpwn folder
2)place your boot and restore images (must be .png) in the folder xpwn-0.5.7/bundles/
    Code:
    logo.png- boot logo
    recovery.png- restore mode logo
    3)open command prompt
    5)
    Code:
    cd C:\Users\yourusername\Desktop\XPwn-0.5.7-win32\
    5)
    Code:
    ipsw "iPod2,1_2.2.1_5H11a_Restore.ipsw" "custom_bootlogos.ipsw" -nowipe -s 750 -b bundles/logo.png -r bundles/recovery.png bundles/Cydia.tar
6)open up your new custom_bootlogos.ipsw with winrar or similar program
    7)go to customipsw/firmware/allflash/n72ap... and locate applelogo5lxxx.img3
    8) copy applelogo5lxxx.img3 to your desktop
    9) open my ipsw with winrar or similar program
    10) go to runrs.ipsw/firmware/allflash/n72.ap...
11)drag the applelogo.img3 from your desktop into the winrar folder
    12) continue with tutorial

1)Put iPod into DFU (connected to computer)

    2) open up an iRecovery terminal (CMD)

    3)
    Code:
    iRecovery -f ibss211.dfu
    4) un-plug and re-plug iPod (screen should be white)

    5) copy and paste this ONE LINE AT A TIME, pressing enter after each command
    Code:
    iRecovery -s
    arm7_stop
    mw 0x9000000 0xe59f3014
    mw 0x9000004 0xe3a02a02
    mw 0x9000008 0xe1c320b0
    mw 0x900000c 0xe3e02000
    mw 0x9000010 0xe2833c9d
    mw 0x9000014 0xe58326c0
    mw 0x9000018 0xeafffffe
    mw 0x900001c 0x2200f300
    arm7_go
    arm7_stop
    /exit

    6) First time through use 6a and 7a. see below step 9 if you got an error during restore
(If you use 6a, please use 7. If you use 6b please skip to step 8 )

    a)
    Code:
    iRecovery -f ibss221pwn.dfu
    b)
    Code:
    iRecovery -s
    then type
    Code:
    /sendfile ibss221pwn.dfu
    ( Don't close the shell! )

    7)
    Code:
    irecovery -s
    8)
    Code:
     go
    9) Open itunes, Hold the "shift" key and click restore. Browse for run_rs.ipsw

If you got an error on restoring your iPod, IT IS NOT NECESSARY restore it fully. Please restart from step 1, and use step 6b, not 6a.

    12) copy and paste this one block at a time

    setenv rs1 "mw 0x900000c 0xe59f300c;mw 0x9000010 0xe3e02000;mw 0x9000014 0xe503223f;run rs2"

    setenv rs2 "mw 0x9000018 0xeafffffe;mw 0x900001c 0x0ff1a100;mw 0x9000020 0x0ff2afff;arm7_go;run rs3"

    setenv rs3 "sha1 0x8000000 0x3000000;arm7_stop;mw 0xff006d4 0x21906943;mw 0xff006d8 0x68da6898;run rs4"

    setenv rs4 "mw 0xff006dc 0x9300699b;mw 0xff006e0 0x69c40509;mw 0xff006e4 0x47a02300;run rs5"

that is because it has the dmg of the main filesystem removed (it its ~250mb) It will flash the NOR without erasing all of your apps and settings
