Is it possible to play Real Player or Windows Media Player files streaming from web pages in Safari

If there is any I never heard of it, I think Microsoft provided some support in the past for WMP on MacOS but I don't have this OS so I didn't pay much attention.
It would be priceless to see that happening on an iPod! Other players which are more neutral support more formats, but here it's Apple.
Err, although it might come one day (thanks Google - yes, you got me curious).

Microsoft supposedly now supports Flip4Mac, a plugin for QuickTime, and the elderly Windows Media Player 9 for Mac.
Ah yes, that's this version they last supported.
As for QuickTime, we have to admit that Apple provides an SDK for Windows platforms, even if it's much more convenient to develop under MacOS for this one from what I heard (read: the SDK sucks under Windows).
Interoperability, yay! Please Register or Log in to view images
If you didn't get the idea from the above posts, the answer is no, you can't play stream media for RealPlayer or Windows Media Player on the iPod Touch. Please Register or Log in to view images
You can't do that currently and I don't think you ever will. But you could use quicktime for .mov and .mp4
The main problem with this is I like to listen to streaming radio, but most radios provide either a real media stream or a windows media stream. Something an iPod can play is far less common so its rich of Apple to only support their format when its far from being dominant.
Has this changed with software V 2.0?
