Does anyone know any updates on gambling with the iPhone, it would be great to play poker for money using my device. I've searched across google but can't find any new info much of it is outdated.

    Cheers

I don't think apple would allow it in the app store. If there is one it's going to be a website.

Isn't online gambling illegal in most places?

Maybe you can find an iPhone/iPod touch formatted website that will allow you to, but I dont see why you would.

If youre gambling away your money, its better organized NOT on a 3.5 inch screen.
I would want to see where my moneys going.

Why cant you just get some kind of Poker game on the App Store that supports playing with people around the world.

Then you could arrange some kind of over-the-counter.. arragement, I guess.

It's not that same. But as long as it worked properly I dont see why it wouldn't be big. Plus I'm too good for the virtual games no matter how many millions of credits I have it just doesn't beat real money. And I'm in the uk, gambling is legal. You only lose big if you don't know what your doing.

Perhaps you could use a VNC client and then access a gambling website from there?

I work for a gaming company (poker) and listened to a pitch from a mobile developer - they reckoned that they could get around the app store rules by having a cashier on a website and not integrated into the client.

I know apple are strict with apps so whats the chances of a poker app getting approved with this loophole? I think they would realise TBH and not approve the app.

i cant seem to find all the terms and rules anyone got a link pls

iPhone betting apps are perfectly legal in certain countries and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store. Cetain countires like the United States have not regulated or legislated for online gambling so Apple refuse to approve real money gambling apps there. www.iphonebettingapps.com/sports-betting.html review all the major sports betting apps for iPhones and iPads and specify which countries they're legal in.

In the UK you can choose betweek Betfair, Ladbrokes and Padd Power.
