I just had to reset my Touch and now I have lost the 'Winterboard' and when Cydia loads it does so with errors. How do I re-jailbreak my Touch 2G to get it working properly again ?

To re-jailbreak all you have to do is run redsn0w again, either to a freshly restore device or over the current jailbreak. Anyway, Winterboard shouldn't disappear because of a hard reset. What exactly happened?

Hey DarkWrath. Well I bought a dock for my Touch which was supposed to work with it but it didn't (long story - not happy) . However, when I was trying to get it to work I noticed that in the general settings of my Touch I no longer had the 'video settings' option and reading the Apple website it was suggested to do a reset.

When I did the reset the 'Winterboard' had gone and now also my Touch is not how I had it before in that I was using the 'categories' folder thingy where I stored all my games (128) which meant far less pages on my Touch. But now I have all the games not only in the 'games folder' of my Touch but on the 'normal' pages themselves ! I tried deleting the game from the normal page but then it disappeared from the games folder and now I can't re-load it because there is no room left !!!

It's all very complicated......well to me anyway.

So have you made sure the apps are all not hidden?

Hidden apps are controlled by SBSettings or Poof

Or go to Settings > General > Restrictions and 'Enable Restrictions'. Afterwards, exit settings, re-enter them and then disable restrictions. This will show all hidden apps.

After a reset, my winterboard icon changed to something else (field runners i think) and i didn't have any icon labels so i thought i had lost it too.

Might not be helpful in your case, but just puttin it out there.
