Is anyone else here as interested in this little device as much as I am? For those who may not know, it is a $25-$35 ARM Linux/Android/whatever you want "development" board......oh and it is the size of a credit card 3D Model Right now the "official build" is a custom ARM based Fedora Remix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KoSt1VP5kVY These boards are actually quite powerful, able to do Apple's Airplay capability as well as full XBMC to 1080p. XBMC:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NR57ELY28s&feature=player_embedded Airplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2v6FOji3lq8 For those really interested the site is here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/ With more info, such as getting everything set up and beginning to use it here: http://www.youtube.com/user/RaspberryPiTutorials
End of this month.....and well it is obviously close to the end of this month. Never know D: But anywho to keep conversation going, I am interested in the B model. Model A has 128Mb of RAM, one USB port and no Ethernet. Model B has 256Mb RAM, 2 USB port and an Ethernet port.
Don't be so negative man! I would assume it is no fun finding manufacturers in a country half a world away. You are right though, and manufacturing did begin the 10th of last month.
Interesting idea, turn your average tv into a computer... Sort of... Still don't understand why it's so under powered? I'm assuming to maintain low costs but how much more would it cost for a gig of ram and a 1ghz processor or so? Also, interesting product but the name makes me hungry...
^^ Probably at least another $10 and it's much more appealing at $25. I guess they could of made more models.
