iOS 4.0 R.i.P. DFU

    As most of you whom have been jailbreaking for a while. I think nearly all the generations of iDevices have had DFU mode, to jailbreak and restore to custom firmware. People who have updated to the new ios4 have noticed, that to do a custom restore, there is no need for DFU, just hold alt and press restore.

    So the options been integrated without the need to activate it?... or just gone full stop.

    redsn0w for iOS4 still uses DFU Exploit

    Umm, isn't DFU part of hardware, not software? It should still work.

    DFU sshould still work, now there is just another way to do a custom restore right?
    Even if the new way is easier, I would still DFU just for the fun of it

    no theres not, he used redsn0w to jailbreak that's why he doesn't get a 1600 error

    No there is just no need for it anymore, because you can restore to your custom firmwares now without it.

    Oh, well its still a solution for people with problems during the jailbreak.

    I don't quite understand.

    So DFu is really removed? Or is it hardware integrated?
