Alright so today i posted a thread about my home button. I finally got it fixed after opening my ipod up. The contact slid over a little bit. Closed up the iPod and guess what no wifi. Opened up the ipod again and just had to reconnect worked perfect. When going to put it back together i accidentally pulled the battery too hard.

Now the black line leading to the motherboard is severed. Just great Touch doesn't turn on. I know this probably can't be fixed, but if it can let me know.

If not what do you think is the best store to by a 2G from, based on warranty, price, etc?

If you order one from apple online, you can get a free engraving.

Sounds like you damaged a ribbon cable, and finding a replacement and soldering it back on and such will be very difficult.

And you can knock the value of your iPod down a lot if you ever plan on selling it

That's too bad. Amazon has some pretty good deals on new, used or refurbished iPod touch 2G's.

I swear i have the worst luck. I never dropped my ipod just threw it across a room playin ibowl and had to replace screen. Today, snow day, started with the 2.2.1 jb and chillin with some friends and all of a sudden the home button just stopped working. When i homed it the white contact was on the right side of the ipod. I'm like wtf.

My ipod is actually in near perfect condition it just won't turn on lol. Maybe ill sell it for parts
