I just got a new laptop about a month ago pre-installed with Windows Vista Home. Whenever I try to play an mp4 or mov. file on Quicktime the vid starts up but after 5-10 seconds it stops playing then this comes out-

    "Buffer overrun detected!

    Program: C:\program files\quicktime\quicktimeplayer.exe

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated"

If i don't close it within 10 seconds after this pops-up, windows crashes. What can I do? I already un-istalled Quicktime and re-installed it to see if that would help but it does not.

not as easy as you think, for pre-installed vista laptops that arent dells, its 3X as hard to find the drivers, and some drivers arent even made for some laptops for XP,just vista
