My ipod touch has 2.1 freshly restored on it, but when i open quickpwn and it asks me to select 2.1 firmwire and i select it (ipod1,1_2.15F137_Restore) it starts to load then it stops and wont let me go to the next step. I cant find any one else having this problem some help?, ive downloaded many 2.1 firmwires- all the same result

nope i downloaded 2.0 then 2.0.2 then yesterday 2.1 - i remember 2.0.2 required two different firm wires, one to reset and one for quickpwn, 2.1 only has one?

    1. Are you using a Mac or PC?
    2. If you're using a PC, are you using the unofficial, modded QuickPWN (from quickpwn.com, with capitalized PWN) or the ORIGINAL Dev Team QuickPwn (with no 'PWN' in caps, from blog.iphone-dev.org)? Do NOT use the unofficial one, even IF it works, my friend used it and he realized that it installs the 2.0.2 MobileInstallation framework/patch, which means the SAME, SLOW, BUGGY installs and other bugs that should actually be fixed in 2.1 are still present.
Use the ORIGINAL DevTeam version. That's all I can say.
BTW: A little hint: "touchUpdate" in case you didn't buy 2.0

im using windows xp, i have quickpwnrc3.morphey and the official one is the one that asks you for the firmwire first right, neither of them get past the confirming firmwire step

I'm afraid we can't help you any further since you're asking about a pirated firmware.

I guess now you're not using the original firmware

Try getting it from an original Apple server.
Another hint on how to do that: Zibri

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a Zibri fan, I value the Dev Team much more, and i do NOT encourage illigal activities. I was lucky that iTunes simply asked me to download 2.0 for free.
