    I apologise if this is posted elsewhere but I am trying to find a quickpwn which will work on 2.2.1 which I Have just upgraded to and of course lost my jailbreak. I have quikpwn 2,2 however that just says 'firmware string error' so im guessing it is not compatible.

    Cheers.

    Thanks very much, downloading now,

    Just a question: How come on these boards there isn't as much hype about 2.2.1 then there was when 2.2 was released?

    Cheers.

    The importance of updates is usually determined through the amount of decimals. For example:

    2.2.X = If X changes, it's a minor update
    2.X.2 = If X changes, it's a medium update
    X.2.2 = If X changes, it's a large update

    Well said Kiks. That's usually how it goes. Such as if an application was in 0.1, and updates to 0.2, it's a medium update usually. Once you get to 1.0, it's a major update and lots of features are implemented.

    Probably not. Apple will probably make the next generation iPod Touch/iPhone have something that the others aren't capable of (software-wise) therefore Apple creating a whole new Software for the iPod Touch and iPhone.
    Look at iPod Nanos....

    All of this is right, for 2.0+ at least. I pretty much agree with this, except for the 2.2.X and 2.X.2. The reason being is because remember 1.1.2 to 1.1.3. That was huge! You had to pay for stocks, weather, etc. and the wiggle effect where you could move your apps into any order.

    Other than that I 100% agree with you.

    The ipod touch 2g has a chip that will allow it to have fm as well as bluetooth. Not possible for us g1 users. But maybe the next major update will have flash for safari...
