    [Editors note: Healthy debate in this thread. Is QuickPwn[dot]com correct to use the Dev-Team's product names? Is he offering a service or is he directing new jailbreakers away from the Dev-Team release blog? Read through and make your own judgment.]

    I've about had it with this fake quickpwn(dot)com stuff.

    Even planetbeing is furious about it:

    EDIT as of 3:55 PM GMT+8 Pacific Time: @QuickPWN

    1) You are an extreme liar. Seriously. All you do is redistribute software that you are absolutely not allowed to be redistributed. You are stealing code from ACTUAL developers and it is absolutely not okay.

    2) The iPhone Dev Team's work is COPYRIGHTED. I repeat, it is COPYRIGHTED. It does not matter what you do, but any redistributing of the software is ILLEGAL

    It clearly states in all packages that their software comes with the following text:

    You can't fight copyrights my friend.

    Take down quickpwn(dot)com now

    They cant do much about it, although they could put a warning telling the reasons not to use Quickpwn up the top of the page like they have done about illegal 3.0 downloads. I dont know.

    I had a word with the Quickpwn[dot]com admin yesterday after I infracted him for coming to our forums to try and hire PAID staff... That's how much money he has cashed in using the QuickPWN brand name.

    Here's our email conversation (n.b. first email at the bottom and read up):

    And this thread just got front-paged. I've taken my stance on this. I hope the other mods agree.

    This is where so many fall down. It's not about the individual, it's about the community... The Dev-Team deserve community support, freeloaders do not.

    Well down Stud.
    What your saying about the noobs are true though. When I first wanted to jailbreak I went there first.
    :/
    At the least at the top of the site he should put
    "Not official Follow link here to official Dev-Team."
    A-Holes. -_-;
