    is quick freedom good for a newbie on ipod touch firmware flashing, or shall i use something else for 2.2.1 , ps i dont have a ipod touch 2g yet but i will jailbreak it.

    Jonny redsn0w 0.7.2 is old.

    For 2.2.1 you will need redsn0w 0.3

    for 3.0 you need redsn0w 0.8

    Nope. Unless Quickpwn still works, but I don't think it does.

    well i think i will use quickfreedom its not that old the new version came out july so when i get my ipod touch i will put 2.2.1 on if not, then jailbreak as i want different boot logo i dont like the pineapple

    I don't see why you need a GUI, Redsn0w is quicker anyway. Just plug in iPod, open redsn0w, hit enter, and your done. You really need a GUI for that?

    Then you use redsn0w 0.3 and then use LogoMe from Cydia if you are on 2.2.1.

    With LogoMe you can flash a new logo at any time and keep all your data.
