I jailbroke my itouch 2g 2.2.1 with quickfreedom the first day it came out
Sincen that day, I just forgot about jailbreak updates

    Is there any new update?

I saw that 8.2 iTunes and quickpwn post, I wanna know what features does quickpwn have? And is it better than quickfreedom?

Also, I saw that redsnow 3 beta post, but I'm not sure I'm using redsnow
How can I tell what patch am I using

QuickPwn does not work with the 2nd Gen iPod touch.

You used QuickFreedom, so you don't have the patches that redsn0w 0.3 installs

^^^ yeah, if you used redsn0w, you would know it

as far as the benefits of sn0w over freedom..

    1. you can change boot logos on the fly with LogoMe
    2. i find it more automated (user friendly) than the freedom

I FIRST jb'd with the freedom cuz it was readily available first but once the sn0w was ready, i jumped on the band wagon and havent looked back.

sn0w is the way to go

if you first restore to stock apple firmware and then go to redsn0w beta 0.3 (don't run redsn0w OVER your original jailbreak, it'll mess up your cydia sources and packages) not only will you gain the use of logome, you'll regain about 200MB of space, b/c redsn0w formats for the jailbreak more efficiently than quickfreedom. out of the box, my 8GB had 7.2 actual gigs of space; with quickfreedom, 6.8, and with redsn0w, an even 7 .

RedSn0w is the best method of jailbreaking. The reason why its better is because it doesn't need much user input (just dfu mode and clicking the executable file.)
