Well, if you get your music from iTunes, I don't see why you would need them.

What works for me for artwork is I go to Amazon, do a search for the album, select it from the list that comes up, then right-click on the artwork that will be in the upper left and select "Copy". Go to your Itunes, right-click on the album in question, select "Get Info", and you will see a small box labeled "Artwork" on the right side of the window that comes up. Right-click in that small artwork box and select "Paste", then click "OK" at the bottom. You're done! The artwork works fine when I drag to my touch. Works every time (for me at least). Btw, have your iTunes music library on "Grid" under "View" for these directions. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure if you put an album on via CD, the artwork doesn't come with it..

iTunes is not the only source in the world to get music legally, mkay?
I just use the "Get Album Artwork" option in iTunes, it gets most of my artwork.

Search Google Images for the album artwork, select the song in iTunes, then drag/drop the picture onto the 'Selected Item' box in the lower left corner of iTunes (make sure it's set to 'Selected Item' and not 'Now Playing'). You can do this for more than one song at a time by having multiple songs selected when you drag/drop (if they're part of the same album, obviously).

As for lyrics, I can't really help ya there. I'm not that anal about the tidiness of my iTunes library.
