I made the same mistake that many have made. I used the BossTool iPod Wiper and naturally iTunes didn't recognize my iPod anymore. However I did get my iPod to be recognized by deleting some folders using iPhone Browser but it gives me two options in iTunes now:

    1) Set up as new iPod
    2) Restore from backup

So my quick question is, if I set up as a new iPod, will it still be jailbroken? Also, will I lose any apps I have on there now if I set up as new iPod?

My guess is it will only affect the songs/movies part but I want to know what it will do before I do it.

    Thanks in advance.

if you restore from backup, it will NOT be jailbroken. It will freeze the springboard tho, thus making you restore.
ALWAYS set up as a new iPod.
