Is it possible to buy the iPhone 3g without purchasing a new contract also? If so how much would just the iPhone 3g cost?

You have to purchase the contract, unless you want to violate apple's EULA

You have to get a contract, no ifs or buts

But think about it. How are they going to ask you to sign up for a contract if you buy it from the Apple Store or online?

But i dont want to end my old contract because it will cost up to $200. Is there any way to just transfer my old contract to the iPhone 3g?

Are you already on AT&T? Because I read somewhere you can just upgrade the contract or something like that.

You just ask AT&T, but you'd have to pay like 10 or 20 dollars more or something. Check user "dualcorex" most latest threads. He posted about it earlier.

Ok thanks I'd rather pay $10-20 than $200. That helps a lot.
