I'm thinking of jailbreaking my iPod.
BUT. If something goes wrong, would I lose everything on it?
I don't have most of the songs and videos on my computer.
I'm really unlucky, so I'm super paranoid on JBing it..
I searched before posting btw, so kick me if it's posted before.
Or if the answer's that obvious..
I dunno much about iPod jailbreaking at all.

yes you will most likely loose your music and video if something goes wrong.

Anything you do to your iPod during the JB process or while it is Jail-broken can't all be reversed and remove when restored. You can't do any permanent damage.

do you have wi-fi? If you do you can go to jailbreakme.com in safari and just download the appsnapp thing and it automatically jailbreaks the itouch. It'll crash safari first then you'll see the spinning thing and it'll say downloading. then the ipod will crash meaning it goes to the locked screen. and it'll be done. that's how i did it.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine. Just make sure thst if you're using Calendar to remember stuff you back it up. A buddy of mine made dates for EVERYTHING. It took him like, 4 hours, no joke. He also had 200+ contacts, he didn't back 'em up, and jailbroke. haha. he was mortified.
