When it states it will "jailbreak for life", does it mean it will be permanent for every iOS from 4.1? Also, is it for 4G only, not the MC bootrom?

Also, will SHatter remain during a restore? That would be awesome, but impossable unless it goes on the ROM.

And one more, if you restore a backup with cydia, or update OS and restore to backup when you had Cydia and other jailbreak apps, does it put them back on or do they get left off, or iTunes has a spazm and bricks your device?

Sorry for my terrible grammar, i tried to type it while it was fresh in my mind.

Yes, SHAtter is only for the 4G devices.

The jailbreak won't remain after a restore, you will have to rerun the jailbreak tool to jailbreak again.

The jailbreak apps and tweaks do not get put on your device when using a backup, although some parts of the jailbreak still remain, like a custom carrier and a battery percentage.

Everything he said is 100% accurate... Except some people have been seeing an error when trying to restore with a custom carrier and/or batter percentage (Errors "-1" and "-20" I think)

To add a little more, SHAtter will work for all firmwares after 4.1 on compatible devices as long as the jailbreak tool is updated to support it (along with Cydia).

They should try and find an exploit for MC models, So they don't have to keep busting a gut for us.

SHAtter won't be released until next year though

The 'normal' exploit, apparently. Except for greenpois0n WILL use SHatter.

I thought they both were already using SHAtter, both have been released and both use the same exploits... Is GreenPois0n going to change to SHAtter? or is it already on SHAtter? I'm really confused now... LOL.

I think it was Greenpois0n was being worked on incorporating SHatter only, but then Limera1n come on the scene with a 4.1 jailbreak, So Greenpois0n decided to add that to make up for the devices that aren't 4G. That's what i assume though.
