I have an 1.1.2 touch that hasn't been jailbroke as of yet. Do I have to downgrade to 1.1.1, put jailbreak on, then upgrade to 1.1.2 then jailbreak again? I've searched this question and found junk, so my apologies if this question is out there.

Yeah you have to downgrade to 1.1.1 and jailbreak and install oktoprep I believe wich prepares the touch to be upgraded to 1.1.2 and still make it be able to be jailbroken. So after the you upgrade to 1.1.2 you have to rejailbreak again as the 1.1.2 firmware will get rid of the previouse jailbreak. Here are a couple of links to guides explaining this proccess in further detail.
