iPhone 3G Quick iPhone 3G question

    Hey guys, I have an iPhone 3G question. If i were to unlock my 3G to get rid of the data plan, would the GPS still work or would it cost everytime i used it? thanks in advance

    It would probably still charge you or you would not be able to use it because your service would not be on.

    The 3G iPhone GPS is an A-GPS. It uses Wi-Fi signals, Cellular Towers, AND GPS Satellites in space. The only thing that the cell towers do are help it find your location faster, because it uses them to find your general area then it uses the GPS towers to pin-point your location.
