Okay, I ALWAYS get, "failed to create custom ipsw" or something, ALL THE TIME I am running WinPwn 2.0.0.4....

I am not doing it on a fresh 2.0, is that the problem? Or is it that I am on 2.0.1 and trying to build from a 2.0....
    Help please...

It very well may be. If I were you I would at least attempt to do it on a clean, freshly downloaded 2.0.

No. The ipsw builder doesn't even require the iPod, to my knowledge.

EDIT: I am now downloading WinPwn 2.0.0.3 and trying it on this older version.

Again, I would try it on a fresh 2.0.1, factory settings.

Don't change the root partition size then try.

Okay, I have a fresh 2.0, it's the right image ending in 47. Okay, It will still say that it cannot create a custom ipsw...

You said it doesn't conflict with my iPod in anyway, since, it's just building a new custom firmware anyway. I hate this, I know I can't ask for a pre-made custom firmware 2.0 here but, will it work if I shift+restore to a custom firmware 2.0? My plan is this:

    Download a custom firmware 2.0
    Open WinPwn
Browse .ipsw, then click the fresh 2.0
Then click iPwner, then choose the pre-made custom firmware I downloaded
    It pwns iTunes.
    Then put into DFU mode?
Then shift+restore the premade custom firmware.

    Will this work?

that usually happens if you didn't uninstall the previous version of winpwn before installing the newer one

don't! Just use two click jailbreak! It builds a custom 2.0.1 firmware with your choice of cydia, installer or both and then talks you through putting into dfu mode then just restore in iTunes!!!

Try using two click jailbreak. The thread is currently page 7/8 of this forum and has a YouTube video showing it working! It's literally foolproof!
