In the beginning there was an Ipod Touch 2g.

A foolish young man attempted to do a jailbreak upon said iPod...

I am using firmware 2.2.1 (5h77a) on my ipod. I attempted to do a jailbreak with quick freedom. Quick freedom works properly, and the pre-jailbreak gives me the white screen as it is supposed to.
At this point I am supposed to open iTunes and restore with my custom firmware. However when I load iTunes it will not recognize my Ipod, and I am therefore stuck.
I am using itunes 8.1 on my windows box.

    Any help would be great.

Or if you want to do it with QuickFreedom are you sure you have LibUSB installed?

LibUSB has nothing to do with iTunes. And if you had read the part before that, you would have noticed that he said he got the white screen, which he couldn't get without using QuickFreedom.

well, if you use QuickPwn/redsn0w, you don't even need iTunes. Just run the program, put your iPod into DFU Mode, and hit enter and let it run. It should take, at most, about 5 minutes.
