I'm thinking of buying a macbook from craigslist and I have a few questions. Here are the links so you can read over them first.

    My questions are:

If I buy one of these used macbooks does the standard one year warranty automatically transfer to me? Do I just need its serial number or do we need to contact apple in any way?
(both warrantys are still covered for a few more months at the least)

What could I do to completely restore it and make it new?

Do you think these offers are real or scams? My parents seem to think they are scams...

    Thanks for any help,

Uh, i'm pretty sure you can just put the Leopard Restore disc in and restore, and Craigslist is local, so I wouldn't think it's a scam.
