My original ipod was synced under my husband's itunes account. That ipod was stolen and another ordered. When my new ipod comes, I would like to sync it in my own account.

Can I do that and use the info that was stored from the other ipod? Can I sync it with the apps I already have? Can I transfer the itunes apps and music from our desktop to our laptop and sync from either?

If the original ipod is recovered, is there anyway to reset the password if I don't know the original one?

    Thanks.

There is no way to reset the password if the original ipod were to be recovered your only option would be a full restore and yes you can sync the apps you already have with the ipod

would a full restore override the password and allow me to give it one?

I bought that ipod used and don't remember ever giving it a password. I have used up six of my guesses...

Of course, all of that is moot if it isn't recovered.
