Before I go experimenting with a jailbreak for 1.1.2, explain to me the benefits of even upgrading to 1.1.2? Is it minor things I won't notice or that really do nothing?

It's more responsive, quicker to type, and Safari renders pages more quickly too. So I'd say it's worth it!

Wouldn't downloading the installer.app files and openssh files, upgrading, then readding them to your ipod work?
