You don't NEED to install anything you dont want to....

Well maybe a couple things if its 1.1.4.... like BSD Subsytem or whatever.

Oh gotcha... yeah definitely Community Sources and Summerboard, those would be the most essential, and then anything after that is completely personal like games, IM, and more customization. There is a complete thread that you can search for that has a full list of all repos that you can add to installer to find more apps and stuff... so i would check that out

Make sure you install BSD Subsystem before you do anything! Go to installer, it should ask to be updated, say yes, then add community sources and refresh then install BSD and OpenSSH! After that install SUID Lib fix, BossTool, and BossPrefs. Use BossTool to move fonts, ringtones, and apps and then worry about all the other stuff.

The info you are getting isn't so good. You need to install BSD Subsytem first or you are going to have serious issues! PM me if you need guidance and don't believe everything you read.

yes you need bsd subsystem. a lot of apps depend on that for them to function properly
