    Before I hack mi ipod, i want to know if u can download the 1.1.3 software upgrade using installer without using wifi because my wifi doesnt work. It says it has full connection but it says cannot find server. I have 2 routers connected 2 each other. I tried the solution u guys recommended on the forums but it doesnt work. Anyway do I need to use the internet to use all of installer.

    yes you need wi-fi to jailbreak

    wich ones like the janurary upgrade or what

    yeah the january apps.
    But i could have installer until i find a wifi spot.

    Hmm... well you could download the 1.1.3 ipsw file, rename it to restore.zip, then use iPhone Browser to transfer it to /private/var/ via USB cable.

    Then use Gopher to download and install the "Official 1.1.3 Upgrader" through the USB cable assuming your computer is connected to the internet.

    Then you could run the jailbreak without wifi, because you only need wifi for downloading the firmware, which you already put on your iPod in such a way that the jailbreak program can use.

    well you need wi-fi to jailbreak and you will loss them but you cAN GET THEM AGAIN sorry for the caps i didt mean to cap some words

    I think that you can simply resync your iPod with iTunes, and iTunes will put the apps you paid for back on your iPod.
