iOS 4.0 question?

    im not at my house at the momet, im on a desktop computer right now with no wireless internet
    is there a way i can connect my ipod touch to this computer via usb cable
    then use that for a wireless hot spot and use my laptop?

    You could just connect the ethernet cable to your laptop's ethernet port directly..

    the modem is behind this huge desk at least 6 foot high, sitting in a corner, ive tried this but i found that the cable is too short, i would have to sit behind the desk for it to work

    I don't think that's possible to use your touch as a hotspot.

    I don't even think you can get internet through the USB cable.

    okay, well do you no if i can use my wifi card in my laptop as a bluetooth card in someway? that way i can tether from my blackberry
    i have windows 7 and ubuntu 10.04 if that helps

    Connect your computer to your laptop via ethernet and there you go. Just takes some setting up. I do it from my MacBook to other computers, and it's worked for XP and W7. I know W7 can internet share too.
