I'm with AT&T. The phone I have currently doesn't work(screen smashed) and I have no warranty and don't have the option to upgrade, so I want to buy an iPhone from a third party, question being is this:

How do I activate the phone so I can text, call and everything? Do I just put my Sim Card in it or what? Thanks so much in advance.

I think it'll work if you just put the sim card in. I'm not sure though, because I have Verizon.

you only need to activate the SIM card, not the phone.
If you're using the old SIM then you'll be fine just
    throwing it in your iPhone
